Dillons is stepping up their game! Have you ever ordered online and picked up at a store? I’ve done it at Walmart and Best Buy, and at Target. And, we will soon be able to at SIX of the Dillons stores in and around the Wichita area.
Starting with the 21st & Maize Dillons Marketplace, we are able to order and pickup our entire list of desired groceries – except for pharmacy – from the comfort of our vehicle.
Online orders can be created on the Dillons website with either a computer or an internet-enabled smart phone. You tell them which items you’d like and how many, and what time you will be at the store for pickup. A Dillons ClickList associate will gather your items and store them in a temperature-safe environment until you arrive.
When you arrive, your ClickList associate will accept your payment (and coupons!) and load your groceries into your car. Sa-weet!
Things to know:
• Curb-side pickup is available 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
• Pay when you pick up
• There is a $4.95 per order fee for this service, which will be waived for the first three of each customer’s orders
• You CAN use coupons! The Digital Coupons loaded to your card will apply first, then any paper coupons you bring with you to pickup will be scanned at that time
• If an item is not available, you will be offered a substitution which you may accept or decline
This has been in the works for quite some time now and I am super excited. From what Paul and I understand, Dillons will make every attempt to pair the same associate with the same customer with every repeat order. What does this mean for us as customers? It means that we build a relationship, and that the associate learns how we like our foods. Steaks for example – do you like them on the lean or on the marbled side? – if the associate selects a great cantaloupe or other produce item we can give them feedback and they will make a note for next time. How cool is that?!
Paul’s parents for one are very excited about this new feature. For those that don’t care to shop for groceries, or those that find it difficult to navigate the store, for those with crazy busy lives, this is just one more thing taken off our plates.
The second store to offer ClickList will be beginning in the fall. Stay tuned!
